What’s Going Ahhhn…

This week seems suspiciously light, so it will probably be one of those where you should check back as more shows get added or have flyers and more information. On the other hand the weather is so nice you could just go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors without going to a bar or a show. I’m kidding of course, even on a light week there are over a dozen shows of note to attend throughout the week.

When & Where: Tuesday, October 4th, 9pm at The Lost Leaf
Reasons To Attend: This night may well be Slow Moses and nothing but Slow Moses, it’s unclear. Either way they dropped an album earlier this year under their new name and this is the vinyl release as well as a tour kick off, who may be there or not. It’s difficult to say. Either way this is where it’s at Tuesday night.
Other Details:  Per Slow Moses themselves, “We’re headed for the West Coast on a tour with one of our very favorite bands, Califone. Also, we’ve got new 180 gram, blue vinyl copies of Charity Binge for sale. Come have a drink, snag a vinyl, and send us off proper. Our old friend D.S. Yancey is gonna play some of his greatest hits to set things off. Come get some!”

When & Where: Wednesday, October 5th, 7pm at Pho Cao
Reasons To Attend: TV Life is present this amazing, genre bending evening with a female only lineup. This is also a networking event for female performers, you can check out all the details below.

Everyone Welcome! :-)

Reasons To Attend: This is going to be a mindblowingly great show. Bogan Via just released a single, Luna Aura just released and EP, MRCH just released an EP and WASH releases something exciting every other week, they should have their own variety show. Seriously. Unreal lineup.

When & Where: Saturday, October 8th,  8pm at The Rogue Bar
Reasons To Attend: LUAU is one of my new favorite things and they are releasing a cassingle. Which is pretty awesome in itself. It’s also a format I never thought I’d refer to in the present tense during my adult life. That said, the whole lineup is going to be great.
Other Details: There is no better way to celebrate October 8th’s Cassette Store Day than coming to our cassette release!
We are releasing our Cassingle with two songs from our EP “Gone” through Saint Joseph! Songs included will be “Anchor” and “Keep Talking”.

I’ll probably write more about that later.

When & Where:  Sunday, October 9th, 8pm at The Rogue Bar
Reasons To Attend: Due to recent problems with the Facebook events page…which I rely on heavily…things have been a bit wonky. Here’s another great show on Sunday! The touring band is described as “When Lou Reed, David Bowie and Devo meets The Strokes and The Arctic Monkeys. An original and modern act, with a punk rock accent, and an indie rock atmosphere.” Ummm…that’s nearly everything I love in one sentence. In addition to Name The Band, you have a stellar local line up to boot! Will this finally be the night Mitchell sees TOSO? I guess we’ll find out.
Other Details: Band details below…
